If you still have questions about the chat, you can ask one of the VIPs and/or read the Chat-FAQ or Chatiquette.
What is a chat?
A chat is a form of communication in which the participants mainly are there to have fun. Anyone who has access to the internet can participate in a chat. You just have to pick a pseudonym (aka "Nickname") and then find a chat room and discuss topics.
Every chat-server offers several chat rooms with different themes. That way, it's less difficult to find other people with similar interests. That's the idea, anyway. In practice everyone talks all the time about everything, or at least that's how it looks when you visit a favorite chat room.
After you click on chat, you'll automatically be logged in under your username.
If you're too quiet for too long, you'll automatically be "logged out" of the chat (timeout: of 60 seconds). You can just log back in.
